I've seen some crappy low quality textured maps created for DOOM 2016 nothing that uses the graphic engine capabilities, I'm sure if there was mod tools for QC we would get ports from these maps, and most of the maps seem to be for the single player modes and multiplayer modes. Would modders be able to create maps at the same quality as the ones that are currently in game, or will they just rip / remake crappy low quality maps from previous quake titles, the work that would be needed to make quality quake champions maps would be to much. The devs have been working on this game for over four years, not including the closed beta, for a triple A development team working on a triple A brand name such as Quake, this development cycle is way to long and they will get burnt out sooner or later, working on one game for so long especially that Quake Champions is not making any money.
The game will most likely get two new maps before the games development cycle runs dry. Protest against the always online live service ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, don't let them keep on making disposable games with no long term support. We would also need server binaries to set up our own servers in order to test the maps and modify them accordingly. We've been asking for a map editor since the closed beta days.Ī map editor on its own wouldn't be sufficient because there would be no way to test the maps.
